Summer Skiing

It's always nice to spend the first full day of summer skiing! Headed back up to the Fourth of July Chutes.

Fourth of July Chutes

Not quite over in Tahoe yet, but pretty darn close. Nothing like late, late spring steep skiing near home!

Folgers Peak

Discovered a new late season ski destination. You can drive to the snow still and lots of lines to ski of Folgers!

I first skied the line to the left of center

The snow was actually smoother down low, so I skied a steep little shot right up above where I parked for line 2

Lines are on the left side, lots more to do here in the years to come!

Lassen - Take 2

Rod suggested we ski Lassen on Saturday, after not getting a chance to summit a couple weekends ago seemed like a great idea!

Heading towards the mountain on Friday

Great AM for climbing, cold night before, nice breeze. Summit self portrait.

And Rod almost there

3 Runs around Tamarack

Probably my last day of the season for this area. Great skiing still, everything was smoothed over in last week's snow. Coverage getting thin, we were pretty much able to ski the entire way with only one little walk, but that won't last long.

Looking down Broken Glass bowl at Galena falls.

Getting soft after noon
